According to a British study…parents are spending about $660 (Canadian dollars) on their child’s birthday party. That is doesn’t even involve the gift…because they pay close to an additional $360 for presents.
The biggest expenses: entertainer, caterer, and decorations. Party bags and venue rental also make the list of costly expenses.
The parents were asked why they do it—some said because their kids asked for it, others just LOVE giving their child a party and some just think their kid will get more gifts.
These same parents do this BIG parties…every year.
Look, I won’t judge these parents for spending SO Much money…because frankly if I had the money (and kids), I may do the same. My family didn’t have the most money, but my parents still always planned something great for us…with milestone birthdays being extra special.
