BUT DON”T WORRY… this asteroid, as large as six NFL football fields will make a harmless fly-by according to NASA.
How is that possible you ask???
Well, after this bad boy loops around the sun, the 2,000-foot-wide space chunk named 2014-JO25 aka “The Rock” will zip by Earth at a distance of 1.1 million miles or five times the distance to the moon.
It’s also been reported that it has a reflective surface twice as bright as the moon. So, with small telescopes or binoculars will be able to catch a peek. It’ll be visible for one or two nights, before slowly fading away!
