Yup. You read that right. FOUR!
It seems that HBO wants to keep a party (IRL, who would really want to attend that kind of party) going in Westeros for as long as they possibly can!
But I mean, when you think about it, George R.R Martin’s world in Game of Thrones is HUGE and the show runners have only barely scratched the service of it!
According to HBO, they have hired four different writers to helm four different projects: Max Borenstein (Kong: Skull Island, Fox’s Minority Report); Jane Goldman (Kingsman: The Secret Service, X-Men: First Class), who will work alongside with Martin; Brian Helgeland (A Knight’s Tale, L.A. Confidential); and Carly Wray (Mad Men).
Currently show runners Dan Weiss and David Benioff, will be on hand to help with the projects, but they won’t be writing any of them.
HBO has provided no information as to what these projects will be about — whether prequels, sequels, or spinoffs — or even who might pop up in them.
Right now, all I am concerned about is that July HURRY UP AND GET HERE!!!!!
