With university and college convocations happening right now, this heart-felt story reminds us of how important graduation events are in our lives. For those who have lost someone, graduation can be a difficult reminder of a moment that they weren’t able to celebrate with us.
A young girl in Nevada named Kayla tweeted that she received a graduation gift from her grandmother who passed away when she was 4 years old. Her grandmother had planned 14 years ahead and written a touching letter for her granddaughter as well as left a graduation gift for her on her special day.
The letter reads:
“Dear Kayla, our beautiful red headed granddaughter.”
“You were our second granddaughter born to our youngest son. You were so much fun. You always amazed us…”
