Massive Canadian restaurant business operator Cara Operations has signed a deal to acquire The Keg steakhouse chain for $200-million, a move that gives Cara a bigger footprint in the U.S market.
The acquisition will add 106 steakhouses to their empire of 1,259 restaurants.
You might not be familiar with the name “Cara Operations” but you’ve most likely dined at one of their restaurants.
Cara’s brands include Swiss Chalet, Harvey’s, Burger’s Priest and New York Fries quick service chains, Milestones, Montana’s, Kelsey’s, and East Side Mario’s casual dining restaurants, as well as Prime Pubs, Elephant & Castle, Bier Markt, Pickle Barrel, and St-Hubert chicken restaurants.
